But preserving these places isn`t just about protecting history. It`s about inspiring the future!
That`s the mission behind Rassawek Ventures, our nonprofit dedicated to preserving traditional trades and supporting vocational education through scholarships and hands-on learning opportunities.
One of the biggest ways we bring that mission to life each year is through the Rassawek Autumn Festival & Pro Rodeo, where visitors can experience live trade demonstrations, antique equipment, skilled artisans, and so much more, all while supporting the next generation of tradespeople.

The Sawmill Music Series returns to Rassawek on Saturday, August 8th. The night kicks off with music by @jamesriverjunction from 4-5:30 PM, followed by local favorite @holyrollerrva from 6-9 PM at the Rassawek Train Station.
Bring a lawn chair, gather your friends and family, and enjoy a relaxing evening on the property.

A local musician and songwriter from the Greater Richmond area, Michael brings a blend of classic rock, country, and alternative rock to the stage, performing a mix of both new and old favorites that are sure to have you singing along and making your way to the dance floor.
Our Pavilion Tasting Room will be open from 1–8 PM with live music from 6–8 PM. Whether you`re catching up with friends, enjoying a date night, or simply unwinding after a long week, it`s the perfect way to kick off the weekend.
Fourth Friday Unwined is free to attend and family-friendly, so bring your favorite people and settle in for an evening at Rassawek.

We had the honor of presenting the Rassawek Ventures Scholarship Award at Goochland High School alongside @excel_truckgroup.
Each year, proceeds from the Rassawek Autumn Festival and Pro Rodeo help support students pursuing careers in the skilled trades, and this year, a combined $10,000 scholarship was awarded to Parker Rhoads as he continues his journey in the electrical field. This scholarship can be used toward tuition, tools, equipment, certifications, and career training resources.
Parker is already working as an electrician’s apprentice with Rhoads Electric & Communication and has completed one year of the NCCER Electricity program through Charlottesville Area Technical Education Center.
We’re proud to support hardworking students pursuing careers in the trades and grateful to everyone who helps make opportunities like this possible each year.
