THE GLASS PAVILION

 

Capacity 200+ seated; 250 cocktail style

This 5,400 square foot building is situated on our back hilltop nestled between the Short Pump Garage and Grocery Store. Fully enclosed with glass, this building features almost 360 views of the piedmont and is heated and air conditioned making it the perfect venue for year round use. On a beautiful day, utilize the additional 3,000 square feet of outdoor brick patio space. This building is perfect for larger parties, conferences and meetings.

THE WHITE BARN ON THE HILLTOP

Capacity 50 seated; 75 cocktail style

Located overlooking the Piedmont rolling hills, our white barn is the perfect spot to host an open air outdoor event. The expansive table in the middle of the barn creates the perfect spot to host a sit down lunch or dinner. This barn is also equipped with speakers, amplifier system and microphone making it ideal for meetings and speeches to accompany your event.

THE LODGE CABIN

Capacity 25 seated; 40 cocktail style

Our lodge cabin was built with small meetings and events in mind. Our interior layout is perfect for off site office meetings. The cabin features interior tables and chairs for up to 25 people with additional tables and chairs on the 14 foot wide wrap around porch. Included features included in the cabin rental are projector with speakers, large mobile projector screen, fully stocked kitchen with large fridge, dishwasher, range & microwave & a single bathroom.

THE JAMES MADISON GREENHOUSE

Capacity 15 seated

Situated beside our Cherokee Cabin, our green house is a elegant and quaint location for an intimate lunch or meeting. Originally located on James Madison’s homeplace Montpelier, the building was reconstructed at Rassawek using the original glass panes and brick. The center table in the greenhouse which was made on the property is perfect for conference style lunches or meetings.

This year reminded us just how special this community is, from welcoming the largest crowd we’ve ever had at the Autumn Festival, to spending summer nights together at our very first Sawmill Music Series events!

We celebrated weddings across the property, including at our newest and largest venue, the Pavilion, and watched so many meaningful moments unfold.

You joined us to learn something new, whether that was crafting wreaths at Wine & Wreath or baking fresh bread, and gathered together for wine tastings.

Every event was made better by you! Thank you for continuing to support us and for making each gathering as fun and memorable.

Founded in 2000 by a family passionate about preserving the past, Rassawek was created as a retreat unlike any other. Over the years, historic buildings and materials from across the region, many once headed for demolition, have been carefully salvaged, relocated, repurposed, and rebuilt throughout the property.

Today, Rassawek is a place where natural beauty and local history come together, and where the stories of the past are thoughtfully preserved and shared with the community.
