· Vineyard & grapes

Rassawek Vineyard began with our family’s curiosity and passion for wine, growing over time into the vineyard and winery experience you see today.

What started as an interest in learning about grapes and winemaking has become a place where we can share that passion with others.

Nestled among the picturesque rolling landscapes of Goochland County, Virginia, Rassawek Vineyard has been growing grapes for more than 18 years. Our vineyard spans over five acres and reflects our commitment to producing quality Virginia wines rooted in the character of the land.

Norton grapes originated in Richmond

Visitors arriving along River Road are welcomed by rows of Norton grapes, Virginia’s native varietal, growing and weaving up the front of the property.

Norton grapes originated in Richmond, Virginia, in the early 1820s and were developed by Dr. Daniel Norborne Norton. Considered America’s oldest native grape, Norton is known for its hardiness and deep, rich character, making it a true expression of Virginia winemaking heritage.

Crisp whites & refreshing rosés to full-bodied reds

Each harvest, our grapes are carefully picked and transported to Commonwealth Crush in Waynesboro, Virginia, where they are crafted into wine with attention to quality and tradition.

Throughout the year, Rassawek typically offers a rotating selection of seven to eight wines, ranging from crisp whites and refreshing rosés to full-bodied reds.
